FileMaker Announces End of Support For FileMaker 8 Product Family

We want to make sure all our readers, customers, and students are aware that, as of September, FileMaker, Inc. will no longer offer support for FileMaker Pro 8/8.5 and FileMaker Server 8.  Also, that’s when your eligibility for upgrade pricing expires!  If you have any questions regarding upgrading to FileMaker 11 (what the new features can do for you, what to be aware of when upgrading), drop us a line.

From the Knowledge Base article:

As of September 23, 2010, FileMaker 8 products will no longer be available for direct sales and support including technical support, replacement media, downgrade media, and downgrade license keys.

Self help will be available via the FileMaker online Knowledge Base and the FileMaker Forum

FileMaker 8 Family of Products consists of the following products:

• FileMaker Pro 8
• FileMaker Pro 8 Advanced
• FileMaker Pro 8.5
• FileMaker Pro 8.5 Advanced
• FileMaker Server 8
• FileMaker Server 8 Advanced

FileMaker 8 products qualify for upgrade pricing to FileMaker 11 until September 23, 2010.  Qualifying products include FileMaker Pro 11, FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced, FileMaker Server 11, FileMaker Server 11 Advanced.
