From the FileMaker Training Series, The Support Group’s FileMaker Go class will get you “going” developing FileMaker databases for deployment on iPads and iPhones. This class will build on your current knowledge of FileMaker Pro to give you the essential information you need to design FileMaker solutions that take advantage of these mobile devices. You will learn how the FileMaker Go user experience differs from FileMaker Pro on the desktop, how to design layouts optimize for mobile use, and how calculations and scripts should be built with iPads and iPhones in mind. You’ll also learn advanced techniques to handle users with spotty connectivity and integrate with other iOS apps. These classes are taught by experienced FileMaker Authorized Trainers who themselves are also FileMaker Certified Developers.

Please note: students should bring their own iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to class.

What is the FileMaker Training Series?

The Support Group is one of a handful of companies selected by FileMaker as Authorized FileMaker Trainers to teach the FileMaker Training Series. This series is a comprehensive program that gives you all the resources you need to master FileMaker essentials, and to develop and deploy professional FileMaker solutions with ease. The FileMaker Training Series is recommended as a key resource for becoming a FileMaker Certified Developer.

Course materials cover technical information thoroughly: training modules, presentation slides, demo files, exercises and more, supported by more than 600 pages of content designed to address your questions in-depth and take you to the next level of FileMaker knowledge and expertise. All students receive the full FileMaker Training Series student materials including the course manual and training CD that includes demo files, PDF versions of each module, and instructional videos on key topics.

Who should take this class

You should attend this class if you have already been using FileMaker Pro and you now want to create more sophisticated solutions for use with FileMaker Go for iPad or iPhone. This class is ideal for students who have previously attended our Intermediate FileMaker Pro and Scripting with FileMaker Pro training, or have equivalent experience working with layouts, calculations and scripts.

Students should bring their own iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to class.
